A small (but ever growing) team, each one very passionate about whisky. Our interests span from the distillation to bottling, collecting and (responsible) consumption! Bruce Farquhar

Founder

Bruce set up Dramfool in 2015 and has been successfully bottling single cask whisky ever since. His passion for good whisky has taken him all over Europe and as far as Japan giving tastings and spreading the word of Dramfool. His mantra that he ‘would only bottle whisky that he likes’ continues into Dramfool Casks. He won’t offer a cask for sale unless he feels the spirit in the cask is good and he can see the potential for the final bottling in the future. There is no bad spirit out there but there are bad casks!

Colin Fraser

Founder

Growing up in the shadow of many of the great Speyside distilleries it can be said that Colin was surrounded by whisky from a very early age. From being a collector to appreciating the subtleties of difference in single cask whisky it has been a journey of adventure. His frustrations at the access to quality casks for private buyers has lead Colin and Bruce to create Dramfool Casks. Colin says ‘the dream is not only to demystify the purchase and enjoyment of cask ownership but make it achievable for many’.

All our Brand Ambassadors come to work with us from many and varied places, but all come with a love of high-quality cask strength whiskies and an understanding of what makes these so special. With expanded tastings and exclusive offerings for their home markets planned in the near future we are sure they will be promoting quality whisky under the Dramfool family for a long time.

The German drinkers and collectors alike seem to have a real affinity for all that Bruichladdich has had to offer and Robert is no exception! An encyclopaedic knowledge of the vast output and real appreciation for the variations he almost an unofficial brand ambassador! 

As with so many European whisky fans has been a regular visitor to Scotland and the Isles and has taken this passion back to his whisky clubs in Germany.

Mario Campa

United States of America (based New York)

A well known name in the American whisky world Mario continues to lead the promotion of Dramfool. Meeting Dramfool over a bacon roll in the grounds of Bowmore to being one of our biggest promoters he is now a dyed in the wool (Dram)‘fool. From his personal tastes of Islay and older age statement whiskies he is spreading the word to fellow collectors and connoisseurs alike. Exclusive American tastings are planned soon with whiskies picked by Mario to compliment the American taste and preferences.

Anders Kedman

Sweden (based Oxelosund)

When it comes to the Scandinavian love of Islay whisky it is fair to say Anders is at the front of the queue! From drinker to collector all that Islay has to offer is a favourite. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the island is seen best in his passion for Ardbeg. While some bottles are kept to be admired on the shelf he has likely sampled more Ardbegs than many at the distillery! Dramfool’s oldest friend, he is currently increasing the number of tastings offered in Sweden to spread the word further. And of course when restrictions allow his personal hands-on tours of Scottish distilleries will be available once again.

Danny Wen

Singapore Taiwan & Japan (based Singapore)

In what is possibly the largest growing market for whisky in the world Danny aims to bring a new dimension to what is on offer. While many large brands are well represented the smaller distilleries, independent bottlers and indeed some regions of Scotland appear often overlooked. Education to the new generation of connoisseur will surely open the door wider on the subtleties of Scotch whisky. 

Running tastings and creating Friends with Drams to not only educate but impart his undeniable knowledge.
